Jim is a native of College Station, Texas, agraduate of Texas A&M University andhas been aPGA Class 'A' Member since 1988. Jim is beginning his eleventh year as Briarcrest's head golf professional.

Assistant Golf Professional -Nicholas J. Venditto
Hello Briarcrest Country Club members. Foremost, I would like to thank the membership and staff for the opportunity to work at Briarcrest Country Club. I hope to be considered a vital part of the facility. For most of the membership who do not frequent the golf shop my name is Nicholas J. Venditto. I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and have spent the last 23 years there. I grew up with a very outdoorsy type of family who were involved in numerous summer and winter activities. However, golf was not one of them, but I took off on my own and started playing at an early age anyway. Playing through grade school and high school, I have received various honors in golf. After high school, I went on to receive a degree in culinary arts from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Shortly after college, I returned to the golf business to realize that instruction and education of the golf swing was my real passion. I then went on to work at a few different country clubs giving lessons and helping people achieve their goals in golf. When I realized this was going to be my career path, I decided to get out of the snow in the northeast and move in with family down here is College Station. Mr. Beard and the staff then welcomed me here to Briarcrest Country Club. So, if youre ever hanging out at the club or you want to play golf, stop into the pro shop and see me. I am looking forward to meeting you.
