Course description
- The total property area is 123 acres
- The golf course was designed by Dr. Marvin Ferguson
- The golf course was opened on January 1, 1971
- The total greens area is 115,000 square feet or approximately 2.5 acres
- The total tee area is 93,000 square feet
- The total fairway area is 23 acres
- The grass on the greens is Champion Dwarf Bermuda Grass
- The fairway and tee grass is Tifway 419 Bermuda Grass
- The rough grass is common bermuda
- The equipment inventory to maintain the course is $362,000
- There are two irrigation pumps to water the course that pump a combined 1000 gallons of water per minute
- There is one water well that supplies the entire course with all of the irrigation water. It pumps 500 gallons per minute
- There are over 300 valves and over 1000 irrigation heads to water the entire course
- Approximately 70 acres of the course is irrigated
- There are a large variety of trees on the course including Post Oak, Live Oak, Sweet Gum, Water Oak, Arizona Ash, Green Ash, Elm, Bald Cypress, Willow, Chinese Tallow, Red Oak, Cedar, Crepe Myrtle, Bodark, Sawtooth Oak, Hackberry, Willow Oak, Mesquite
- Briar Creek splits the course in half and comes into play on six holes
- There are two lakes on holes 15 and 16 which are used for irrigation
- There was one lake on hole 8 which was silted in from sediment washed in through Briar Creek
- Briar Creek drains a 1000 acre water shed above the golf course

It is the mission of the Briarcrest Country Club Golf Committee to:
- Advocate the integrity of golf at Briarcrest Country Club including the application of the rules of the Golf.
- Promote golf at Briarcrest Country Club
- Review and recommend the proper use of golf facilities
- Liaison to the Men's Golf Association and Women's Golf Association of Briarcrest Country Club.
- Promote inter-club and intra-club activities including membership in golf associations such as USGA and TGA.
- Review request for special non-member tournaments and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Consult and advise the golf professional staff
